The 2008 - 2009 Hunting Season for whitetail deer is over.   However, it was a very successful year for myself.  This was my third year of hunting and first year as a member to a club.  I consider myself an amatuer and look for the day when I can consider myself a seasoned huntress.  I have learned so much about whitetail deer just in the three years that I have been hunting.  My very best friend, Eddy taught me alot in the beginning and I've relied on the experience in the field to learn even more.  Programs on the hunting channel, articles in books and magazines helped as well.  I had the pleasure of harvesting 3 does and two very nice bucks this year.  My first buck was a 9 point with a 16 3/4 inside spread and weighed 200 lbs.  The second one had 7 points and weighed 150 lbs.  Not as big, but still impressive.  I'm still looking for that MONSTER BUCK of a lifetime.  Needless to say, I'm already looking forward to next season.  Hopefully I will have another successful year, maybe even a better one.
